The Vacheron Constantin Ref. 4073 is often compared to the iconic Patek Philippe Calatrava, yet it has a character and elegance all of its own. Its balanced proportions, elegant case design, and restrained dial make it one of the most appealing dress watches of its era.

This beautiful example from the 1940s is housed in an 18k rose gold case measuring approximately 34 mm. The unrestored champagne-toned dial has developed a beautiful, even character over time, complemented by raised enamel signatures and faceted applied hour markers.

The broad polished bezel and elegantly curved lugs give the watch a surprisingly contemporary presence on the wrist, while the beautifully preserved hallmarks add another authentic detail to the case.

Inside beats the refined manual-winding Caliber 453, a classic Vacheron Constantin movement from this period.
